Help for Children
MEDIC Canada continues to sponsor children and orphanages in Benin. Funds were used to pay school fees, uniform, tutors and food at the school. Two children under the cow project family were attending school, but due to lack of funds, had to later withdraw from their studies. When the MEDIC Canada delegation arrived in Benin in 2018, they discovered the children of the cow project were not going to school and raised money for their education which began again in 2019.
In 2019, due to generous donations, four different orphanages were supplied with foods and drinks at Christmas time in the city of Cotonou.
MEDIC Benin though its financial reserves has also paid in September 2019, school fees to twelve children who could not afford it because some of them are orphans and some are abandoned children.
